ARSENAL DUMP ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE TRANSFER DEAL

Reports from GetFootballNews in France say the English Premier League side has abandoned the deal that was set to bring the Frenchman to the club this summer.

Arsenal have longed been linked with Alexandre Lacazette but they are set to dump him ahead of others players in the summer transfer list.

The coach is reported not to have spoken directly with the player’s club Lyon or with his agent about a possible deal but that they used their age long method of using an intermediary. They have been reports that the intermediaries inquired but they were not all directly linked to the club.

The French side quoted a figure of 50 million Euros aside bonuses for the player and the club has now dumped the possible deal aside to focus on the viability of other targets for the summer, seeing the deal as a rip off.

The total fee for the player is believed would reach 60 million Euros but the club values the player a lot less. The president of Lyon Jean Michel Aulas is reported to still be interested in keeping the player for the coming campaign but reports say the player could be sold if Arsenal were to trigger his release clause. The leading club remaining to sign the player is French champions Paris Saint Germaine even though the club says they are yet to submit an official bid for the player.

Another Frenchman Jeremy Pied is likely to be swooped by another English Premier League side Southampton this summer. There are reports in England that the player has rejected a move to the Premier League side but the club remains adamant. Claude Puel worked with the player in the last season at OGC Nice and wants him to join Southampton as he leads the club to greater heights since taking over from Ronald Koeman. Pied has offers from other clubs but hasn’t yet decided his future.
