Ashton Helps Toulon Success

With the last performance in February it seems that Chris Ashton is now closing in on the record of Nalaga with respect to the number of tries he has attempted. The game that was held on February 17th this year saw Chris Ashton in top form. Being a French winger playing for RC Toulon, he scored several tries as one that he tried getting past Stade Francais Charl McLeod. This was in the French Top 14 rugby union league where the match was being played between Stade Francais and Toulon.

Being held in Mayol stadium in the Toulon town in southern France, it was a game that brought out the best in many players. The games in this rugby league started off after a two week break in the month of February for round 17. In the match between Toulon and Stade Francais, Chris Ashton certainly stole the limelight. LYON CHIEF ON WHY JUVE DIDN’T SIGN TOLISSO

Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed why Serie A giants Juventus did not continue with the expected deal for star midfielder CorentinTolisso.


The playmaker was heavily linked with a move to Italy over the summer but Bundesliga side Bayern Munich stepped in to close the deal. Bayern had to break their club record though as they paid €41.5 million for his signature from Lyon.

Aulus says Juve changed tact hence the decision to leave out the move for Tolisso. Juventus would face a fiercer competition from opponents this term as they seek to expand their hold of the Serie A title. They have won six consecutive Serie A titles so far with the victory in May this year. They are set to match Lyon’s record seven league titles if they lift it by May next 2018.
